How to Deal with the Empty Toner Cartridges?

Hundreds of hundreds of documents need to be printed everyday in companies or organizations, this could be rather frustrated when the printers run out of toners when printing. Whenever the toner cartridges are empty, we throw them away without giving a second thought.

But from now on, you can think of what can be done with them before you throwing away those cartridges. Here are some tips for you to know what can be done with those empty toner cartridges despite of just throwing them away.

Refilled the cartridges

Toner cartridges are really expensive, especially those OEM ones, you can try to refill them all by yourself to save a lot of money. Those refilling kits can allow you to refill your toner cartridges at home for 5 to 10 times. But you have to handle it tactically because refilling is not every one’s cup of tea.

Some of the cartridges can be refilled easily by just unplugging and pouring. Other brands such as HP and Canon cartridges are not that easy to refill. Shake the bottle of the toner well when refilling, then you will have to create a hole in the cartridges to pour the toner powder in. But this may cause a lot of problems, such as toners leak.

Original Toner Cartridges vs Compatible Toner Cartridges
These days many of us make use of printers routinely both at work and in our homes, which means that it’s required to change ink and toner regularly. Have a look at this quick guide that covers off the various choices available to us and the various sorts of ink, so you can make an educated decision regarding the right option for your printer.
OEM or Original Cartridges
OEM or Original Equipment Manufacture cartridges are made by the manufacturer of your printer. For example if you have a Canon printer then Canon cartridges would be the OEM cartridge to select.
Compatible or “Compat” Cartridges
Compatible cartridges are made to fit in your printer, but are not made by the printer manufacturer. You can discover plenty of locations online to purchase compatible cartridges and in many cases it can be more affordable to buy in bulk. When selecting your cartridge, make sure it will work in your printer.
Remanufactured cartridges.
Remanufactured or “Reman” cartridges begin off as OEM cartridges. When the cartridge is empty it’s reconditioned and filled up with ink, rather than ending up in garbage dump – which is less expensive than purchasing OEM cartridges and more eco friendly too.
